[University recommendation]
For university recommendation scholarships, applications are made through the university to various private scholarship foundations. Individuals cannot apply directly for these scholarships.
International students who wish to apply for a scholarship with a university recommendation must complete the "Private Scholarship Pre-Registration Application." If you do not pre-register, you will not be able to apply for a university recommendation scholarship.
■About pre-registration
?Registration period: Twice a year (April and October)
?Registration validity period: 6 months
Registration is required for each semester (first and second semester). Specific dates will be announced on the Sirius bulletin board.
The undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate schools will conduct document screening and interviews, and after the university decides on the ranking of recommendations, the university will recommend those with the highest rankings to scholarships that meet the conditions.
■About recommendations
?Each person may submit up to one recommendation from the university during the registration period.
*Excluding cases where the scholarship foundation allows multiple recommendations or where the applicant was rejected previously.
?Many private scholarship foundations can only recommend one or two people per organization, so even if you register, you may not receive any recommendations.
?Even if you are recommended, it does not necessarily mean that you will be awarded the scholarship.
■ Notes
?If you are accepted for a scholarship based on a university recommendation, you cannot decline the offer in principle.
?If there are no candidates to recommend among the registered applicants, the university may hold a public call for applications.
?Applications for scholarships begin approximately 10 months before the start of the scholarship period, with most applications typically being accepted between August and December.
